Just when I wrote about trying to start anew by chronicling my experiences in UP Law, my academic shortcomings last year come back to haunt me. I felt very distressed this afternoon after an unfortunate re-test of one of my freshman subjects. No matter how much I try to recover from my past mistakes or to reform from my, admittedly, poor performance last year by being much more diligent with my studies this year, they will continue to haunt me. There’s no use regretting to have taken up a lot of extra-curriculars last year and not offering my jealous devotion to law. My renewed enthusiasm in studying may well be for naught. I don’t know what to do now. To quit, I may, to transfer I might consider, but for now if it’s not meant to be, I shall take the break and surrender to my unfortunate academic fate.
I apologize to everyone I might be disappointing. I am thankful to those who understand. Admittedly, I felt terribly upset a while ago. All’s well now. But that’s probably it. Goodbye.

Bikoy. No!… kaya mo yan. naniniwala kami sayo.. wag ka mag give up agad
hehe.. Since then idol na kita.
Everything will be okay. don’t lose hope..
Go Bikoy!
you can do it!
I agree. Set priorities, and focus.
go back to what your purpose is, brother. If studying law and becoming a lawyer meant well to or is very significant in your envisioned future, then go and finish what youve started– in any law school.
but if it is just something that you do because you feel like doing it, or for lack of better things to do, well, i guess it is time to pack up and do something more productive…or more relevant to your purpose/ mission in life.
not all quitters are losers. sometimes we just have to quit early so as to minimize our losses. whoever said that first made sense, huh?
I will be your thorn from now on if you allow me of course since this is your blog. A previous comment was unceremoniously deleted by you. Well on the topic sayang naman kung maging abogado ka eh makitid pananaw mo—this solely comes from you calling GMA”evil” in your previous post. Kaw kaya, where does that come from, your hatred of GMA? In your young life, paano ka nasaktan ni GMA? Parentsmo ba may bad experience sa kanya?
Donita, this is his blog. He can delete anything he wants. He can say anything he wants. If people feel strongly about statements he makes, let them fight him in court.
If you don’t like it, don’t read it. He created it to express himself, not to please you.
Like I said, dear, the world is your oyster.
Your previous comment was pointless and was purely an ad hominem attack on myself and my parents. But since you raised some questions this time, let me address some of them.
I never believe that an individual, as a citizen, can ever be marginalized from the larger community and society he is part of. Do you? A Filipino should not only be driven simply by his own problems, or impaired to inaction by the comforts he experiences. This, actually, is contrary to your assertion of being “makitid ang pananaw.” Ang makitid ang pananaw, are people who are driven only by their personal gains and losses, without regard for others. A citizen must be able to relate the problems he experiences with the problems he sees among members of his community and the country. One should not turn a blind eye to the social ills he sees and learns despite the relative comforts he enjoys.
Having said that, regardless kung nasaktan man ako o ang pamilya ko personally ni GMA, it should never bar me or anyone of us from exercising the right of every Filipino to raise criticisms where they are due and to demand accountability from the highest public official in the country, and to create judgments and stands against such persons, manifested sometimes by calling them “evil”. It is every public official’s assumption of risk to be criticized by the public simply because they assumed public office.
Policies created by this government from VAT, to economic treaties with foreign countries and corporations definitely affect every citizen’s way of life, from the prices of the commodities he buys up to to the to the future his descendants will inherit. If that is not enough standing for you, then I don’t know what is.
There are many ways to address your questions, but this will do for now. I will allow you to be my “thorn” as long as you engage me in reasonable arguments and questions. Unlike GMA however, I am not a public official, I am not accountable to you, thus you have no right to malign me and my reputation or insinuate false accusations against me or my family. I have all the right to “unceremoniously delete” such comments.
“…it should never bar me or anyone of us from exercising the right of every Filipino to raise criticisms where they are due and to demand accountability from the highest public official in the country, and to create judgments and stands against such persons, manifested sometimes by calling them “evil””
When you call somebody “evil” kasi, it means talagang masamang -masama siya at di na matatanggap sa langit. By your explanation, you are taking words like “evil” lightly. Huminahon ka. Kapal mo. How dare you judge GMA like that. Ginagampanan niya ang tungkulin niya bilang Pangulo the best she could given the circumstances. Sa araw-araw ba si GMA nag-iisip ng kasamaan, as in “evil” talaga? I don’t think so. Hindi siya si Satanas noh! The problem in this country is that no matter who sits at the top, talagang tinitira.
Wait for your turn kung meron man.
Eeew! The sad thing is that later in life you will just realize that you have been reckless with your views. And you will then just justify it by saying “bata pa kasi ako noon.” Tragic.
Donita, you are an imbecile. Bikoy wag mo na lang patulan. Siya naman ang nanghihiya sa sarili niya through her gibberish words. hahaha.. very funny.
)
“Ayoko nang sumiksik at makipila. Hintayin ko na lang mamatay si GMA, para walang pila.”
KAPALMUKS. Kung sayo kaya mangyari.
EVERYONE, Kapalmukha will again surely delete this. Hmmp!
good grief donita… give the kid a break. no matter how wrong bikoy’s opinions are, there is always room for a reasonable and decent argument. i admit that sometimes the president’s critics have gone too far (ex. the breast implant issue) but that doesn’t give me the right to call them names. bikoy has replied to you as best he can in a decent and reasonable manner and i’m sure you can do too
haha donita is a funny, err, creature. the things she does not understand. i wonder how old, i mean youngish, she is.
she cannot filter public troubles from public issues. enlighten her.
Psycho commenter on the loose!
Kapal muks? Dude, you’re in his blog space. Get your own and fill it with your own psycho content. Comment ka na rin sa sarili mo.
Uyyy. That’s telling!
Now, analyze that!
P.S. i just have ZERO tolerance sa mga nagmamarunong, bata man o matanda!
Again, I have a feeling you will delete this. Pero bahala ka sa buhay mo! U deserve my “harsh” comments. Quid pro quo lang. I feel for Gloria, I really do!
I will let you humiliate yourself in the bar of public opinion, post ka lang nang post ng pro-GMA comments, I’ll approve and immortalize them in my blog.
Bar of public opinion? O opinion mo lang and other anti-GMA? Remember, she’s our President WINNING the elections and therefore MAJORITY of the people.
Humiliate myself?
(for one, I think everyone will know kung bakit ako tumatawa)..
I know that i should not be doing this..wasting my time answering her back but I just can’t help it. I was actually amazed with the fact that there’s still a person who can proudly defend GMA. tsktsk. Maybe just like her, I also have ZERO/NEGATIVE tolerance for those na “nagmamarunong na wala namang alam” (just like you, Donita).
“President WINNING the elections and therefore MAJORITY of the people”- i strongly oppose to your statement. GMA or any pro-GMA (like you) can never claim that she won in a popular election. If you have any old stacks of newspapers in your house, maybe you could look for the “hello garci scandal”, if you don’t have newspapers at home, since you have a lot of time surfing the net, maybe it would not do any harm if you search it online and probably, it could enlighten you.
More than that, i advise you to look either in net or in a library, topics like “NBN-ZTE scandal”, “Diosdado Macapagal-Highway”, “Fertilizer Scam”, “Karen Empeno and Sherlyn Cadapan Abduction”, ” Oplan Bantay Laya”, “Calibrated Preemptive Response”, “PP1017″, “Multi-million dinner” etc. I believe there’s so much for you to know before trashing out nasty comments against Bikoy or to his anti-GMA opinion. He knows what he’s saying…unlike you.
And last, if you really believe that you are right, i think it will not do any harm for you to approach Bikoy and personally discuss the matter with him. I believe that’s the best educated manner that any individual can do instead of saying “kapalmuks” or anything in that persons’ own blog. If you are confident with your opinions, go out and discuss it intellectually with him. I think Bikoy would welcome that.
Wow. I didn’t know Cerge Remonde goes by the name “Donita” at times! LOL
Sadly, Hello Garci Scandal does not support your assumptions that PGMA did actually win the 2004 elections, thus your comment is but well, ummm, thrash.
